I love to visualize, analyze and observe… For three months I get to do that at an intense level, which I am absolutely excited about…. Why? Because it requires 0 talking, just documenting in my head.

Today is the first April 1st that I have actually acknowledged in a long time.  Being that this is the day that people try to come up with the most elaborate jokes, I tend to zone out and hope the day goes by quickly.  I’ve been able eliminate some things that had no purpose taking up my energy, and replaced it with a consistent force.  I’m finally going to start budgeting and figuring out where all my money is going lol – Money isn’t important to me, but I fully understand the importance of it. 

                April is National Poetry Month… a lot of poets usually do 30 poems in 30 days…. I am not one of those poets lmao, but we’ll see what I cook up this month.

Though it will only be for a short period of time, it feels good getting back to my normal routine. For one, I can now get back to making daily updates instead of the usual “I'm back” and “this time it will be different.” I love to procrastinate because I always get the job done, but how sweet it would be to be done and have time to do other important things. 

Those other things are now possible because the album is finally out (on all streaming services)- I'm super happy with how it came out, and super thankful for the two people that helped with making it all possible. 

Yesterday evening and currently I am super exhausted, but this is what I wanted so I am not complaining – about to work out and then hit the road.

The first comic character I ever remember liking was Wolverine - the unofficial leader position he gave himself, the anger and rage, but also his precision and efficiency.  I have collected a ton of X-Men/Wolverine comics in my lifetime, but the character who takes the cake by a mile is Batman.  

Introducing the newest Batman... how is this possible? (Google it) 

This post is basically just how I felt to have this comic in my hand - even though my passion/ability to read consistently has died down because of multiple ventures, I still love a well written story, and I still love great artwork ---- those things combined will make me ignore the $8.99 cover price lol. 

It's just cool being able to see my skin complexion with the cape and cowl, and to get a fresh take on the Dark Knight. 

On the Virgosjoke page on instagram that I frequent, there was a meme regarding a therapist requesting that a Virgo let people in. The Virgo responded by saying the door wasn't locked, but the picture shows a door handle in the shape of a cactus lol. 

Ironically in my therapy session yesterday, that was one of our topics, my reasoning for not allowing people to easily enter my world --- without revealing the secret formula, I spoke on my need for my walls to be up and what people are privy too once I let them past the 44 locked doors. 

I feel in this current version of myself, it is important to set my boundaries – what becomes a problem is the people that once had unlimited access to that version of you, and what their responses are. 

I wouldn't say I no longer care about many that were close to me, its just let me try this new thing, this new journey without people telling me why it can't be done and what they would do instead

I don't think there was a specific song that made me think that Che Noir was the truth – it always sounded like she was a seasoned veteran, like she has been rapping for 15 years and birthed a new generation of female rappers – I do know that I choked on my soda the first time I heard “Let me break it down/ these hoes know I'm Picasso went I paint the town.” 

Like any true fan, I woke up Friday morning in anticipation of hearing Che Noir's new project “After 12,” there has been a lot of buzz surrounding it, and I felt it was perfect to drop in the 4th quarter especially with the incredible projects that have been dropping this year. 

I'm listening, head nodding to the hard ass beats that she produced herself, when Hunger Games come on. While listening to the hypnotizing beat and hearing Che Ginsu the beat (like imagine rapping over an ill beat that you yourself created, ooh the energy that can create) I look at the track listing and my eyes pop out when I see Ransom and 38Spesh aka Trust Gang (These are the three that are usually the most visual) are also on this amazing piece of work. 

Edit – While I was writing the article, the video for Hunger Games dropped so I'm even more amped! 

I never doubted that Che would be able to hold her own, but I was on the edge of my seat ready to hear what schemes and rhymes would come out of this amazing track.... She's always comfortable, but it was easily noticeable on this track, the drums just felt heavy as she continued flowing “I'm just tryna cop me a pool with a crib behind it/ and pass off paper to my niggas like a school assignment” – what???!! 

I've been a fan of Ransom since his early days and real hip-hop fans know his history, so this isn't what this section is about – but do give him his respect for the second wind he has been displaying, easily one of the best rappers out, and I'm still pissed his “1%” E.P. Didn't get the acknowledgment it deserved. I already heard the verse, but when Ransom stepped out from behind Che in the video I was like “oooooooooooooooooh” because I knew it was about to be a murder – just listen to the whole verse and whoever is reading this will understand why his fans go so hard for him (no homo for the immature cats). 

38 Spesh is an artist that I wasn't up on from the jump like many cats, but once I started listening I knew what was up – no one sounds like him, no one moves like him, his brain is calculated, you can hear it in every verse, especially in this one – it sounded like a mini auto-biography and a slap around at the same time “Niggas ain't got the chandelier sitting over the spinning staircase/their fake” 

I'm super excited for the love and support that Che Noir has been receiving as a whole, and also for this project, there isn't a single wack verse, beat, feature, or space of air, it's a great project – give her and her crew the respect they deserve. 

Hopefully after anyone reads this article they'll take some extra time out to listen to my music – I'm a spokenword artist, but overall I have a beautiful mind and I know how to use a pen. 

Joseph Reuben Fuller

Though I am often screaming Virgo this and Virgo that, I actually don't know a lot about signs like many who speak on the tides, moon, sun, and mercury rising (sarcasm). I do know a lot about our personalities and that even though Gemini's are hard for us to deal with at times, we actually get along with an understand each other very well. 

The artist SAINt JHN is one that I have watched and enjoyed listening to since I heard about him from Mal on the Joe Budden Podcast. I say artist because that's what he is, his style can't be put in one box, he has too many angles and ways to create. Saint JHN is a Virgo. 

The artist Kanye West is on that I have watched and enjoyed listening to since “Through the Wire” and the mixtape he put out which had “The Good, The Bad, The Ugly” with Mos and Freeway, and the joint with Carl Thomas. I say artist, because time and time again Kanye has shown that he was many facets to his art. Kanye is a Gemini. 

In a HIPHOPDX article written by Mark Elibert, I highlighted the SAINt JHN quote 

“I was happy with just the words,” JHN added. “I was happy just playing it for somebody that shared the same lineage of wild, bold listeners that would allow him to create something that didn’t exist. If I was in that lineage, if I was from that bloodline, then I made it already. So before we had a song, I had a great memory. Now I got a great memory and a great song out of it, and it just happened to be played for me.” 

That quote stuck out to me because they were too like minded individuals speaking on the same frequency in regards to music and creating, in Kanye and JHN – obviously Kanye has been in the media for many different things, but in this specific engagement the topic was music and creating. 

Sometimes it's not about the co-sign or feature, it's about getting that nod of approval from people you may have admired or looked up to on your climb to reach something. If you were a fan of a famous actor, and he saw you on a cameo appearance for a TV show, and he said “I saw you on The Wall is Blue, you're going to do great things in your career” that might be the all you need to go even harder than you were going before, as opposed to playing in a movie with him that got super low ratings. 

As SAINt JHN said later on, he wasn't seeking a feature, but it made things even more sweeter-
