fANTastic

I would like to think that I am going to read every book in my library… but that is highly unlikely- also I am in the actual library often, reading books from there.

With that being said, I finally finished this book- I'm not a Timberwolves fan, but I am a fan of Anthony Edwards, and his life journey.

Hopefully this is the kick to get me back into the reading habit- Crazy to think I used to read two books a week smh.

Up next- Lonely Crowds by Stephanie Wambugu

The blue.s, but blue is my favorite color.

Went running this morning- first time in about 2 months- I had a certain goal in mind as far as shedding some pounds- achieved it, then slowly the weight started to come back.

I’ve always been able to lose it quickly, which often makes me lazy as far as being consistent, and with that I get into a little rut.

My own way- I get into… and my own way is very heavy to move.

            _____

Need to put the finishing touches on my performance for tomorrow, then I have to work on the merchandise portion- Really looking forward to this performance tomorrow- A bit nervous.

Didn’t get to finish the book(s) like I wanted to, but I have a good pivot as far as that is concerned.

Speaking of consistency- I will be posting my thoughts more, I keep getting asked, so I will deliver.

Spring/Summer cleaning

I haven’t been here for awhile - the place where I’m supposed to spill the emotions lol — I’ll start coming here a bit more.

Dust, no Van Hunt

It’s funny the things that bring you joy as an adult- fresh towels, an empty sink, a clean floor….

When I moved in here, one of the first things I bought was a vacuum- I’m not the biggest neat freak, but I think that it is safe to say that it should be mandatory to have a vacuum (at least a broom and scoop) in your place of living.

When I purchased my first vacuum, I thought it was going to go down! It had the lengthy attachment, had good reviews, and I really thought I made a solid purchase….. trash!!

I held out for as long as possible, but recently I purchased a new vacuum (cue Genuine Differences) and my whole life has changed.

Things like that bring joy to me, and also makes my life less stressful- an appliance that works properly and that I enjoy using

increase of 1

Maryah turned 11 (yes 11) on the 14th- Time does…. She had a birthday party at one of the jump parks in our area- Seeing the happiness on her face as her friends came in was priceless- pizza and cupcakes were served (of course she didn’t eat one) and she loved all of the gifts.

Norah graduated from Kindergarten on the 12th- and what I noticed the most was the difference in her performances from Pre-K to now.  The Norah from home came out as I heard her sing loudly and her moves were on point.  After we took some pictures, one of her classmates had an end of the school year celebration where they had ice cream and juice.

Maryah had an end of the year musical on the 8th in which she participated by tap dancing- this was her first year tap dancing and it was something she picked up rather quickly.

                I continue to be amazed.

Revolution of dance

Went to a school dance with my girls on Friday – the last one that we attended Maryah was the same age that Norah is now. I dressed a bit more casual this time lol – I remember last time I had the whole shirt and tie situation going, but this time I wore a polo shirt.

It was cool seeing how the girls interacted with their friends- I know one of the things you worry about as a parent, is how they act socially, also their overall experience on a day to day basis at school.

The DJ wasn’t hitting like I thought he would be, but they had a good time, and that’s all that mattered. In the cafeteria there was an arts and crafts section, also a snack/drink section.

Sweet sixteen? Prom? Blink once and those moments will be right in front of you, smh.

Hit the gym because we are programmed to, not because I know what I am doing yet... that will come with time...just have to start... and not stop....

Looking forward to finishing Skin Of The Sea in the next few days - this book is really good.
