Watched a video on Instagram and on Facebook about Derrick Rose... he was talking to some players at a camp in Africa about the grind and the will to achieve.  10-15 years ago, I wouldn't imagine something like this happening, as Rose was always quiet, kept to himself and was solely about playing basketball (in the public eye).

Growth and maturity can change that, as you realize that you have a responsibility to spread the knowledge and wisdom that you have attained.  

The speech that Rose gave was a similar one, heard many times if you were involved in or follow sports - but for me it was brand new - for the athletes in attendance it was brand new --- It was spoken from someone who had lows and highs 50 times over but continued pushing. 

Looking forward to watching Rose this season - hopefully it is one with minimal injuries.
