I had the girls this Sunday, and Maryah was on the tablet video chatting with her friends. I wasn’t in her business, but she in the next room so I could slightly hear the conversation. As she was talking she said “I’m at my dad’s house,” in a manner that showed that she was proud of where she was, but at the same time, she knew it would cause her friend to ask questions at a later time. 

                For her being 9 years old, I know these are important times in her life that will form her identity and direction, for me it was a scene that made me smile because a routine is forming with the children going back to school.     

                This whole covid situation has changed the way that many of us operate, and hopefully slowly but surely we can get back to normal.
