Wasn’t planning to go anywhere this past Wednesday, but ending going to three different places…. 

                Went to an open mic in Woodbridge – I contemplated going after coming from my Autocad class… I was at the gas station pondering (because it was still kind of early) but I went ahead with the plan.  The environment had an overall poetry feel which immediately drew me in, and also hearing different poets from my usual – their stories, and what they do with their ability to write was something that intrigued me also. 

                I got a nice applause and some “wows” after I went up, for my own analysis I felt real good hearing my voice in that setting, and I also felt good that I was around people that don’t normally see my presence, or hear my poetry.  

                I am looking forward to being around those spaces more often in the future
