During the intermission of the poetry event last Monday in Long Branch, a few poets and I had a conversation on…. Poetry.  One of the topics that was heightened was to have a depth chart/roster of pieces that you are comfortable with an build yourself up from there.  People that become fans of you and start remembering your material will create a combination of wanting/anticipating a piece that they enjoyed the previous time, and also anticipating a new piece to hear what new construct you were able to come up with. 

                Currently I am in the middle of organizing my depth chart… in the mix are a lot of “more seasoned” pieces and I want to start swapping them out with new stuff… it’s all a process, especially if you are performing often, you still have to find time to create and grow
